Trendy Sofa
Are there any new sofa trends? The furniture market clearly says no. A sofa remains a sofa or also called a couch. Even new, trendy beanbags do not replace a couch or sofa in the living room, but expand these trends, if necessary, only in the materials or design.
The trend in materials is clearly towards microfibre fabrics that are more durable, washable and also very comfortable to sit on. Although cold leather sofas are still very popular, here, too, the transition to alcantara, suede or suede fabrics is more pronounced.
Ok, in design you can argue over whether it’s new or not. Fact is, that for decades, 2-seater, 3-seater, L-shaped, also U-shaped sofas exist. Only the variability is usually new. Today you can sleep better on a sofa, because it can be converted into a sofa bed within seconds or you can push it comfortably into the garden because it is water-repellent. The shapes themselves have not changed. Some other materials may also be used, since today more is done with stainless steel and less with wood.
A real trend, however, is buying on the Internet. What was unimaginable a few years ago, namely not to buy in the local furniture store around the corner, but to order more easily via the Internet, is now commonplace. It is easy, practical and comfortable to have a sofa delivered to your home from the sofa after ordering on the Internet. You don’t need a big vehicle to transport, you don’t have to queue at the ticket office and if you don’t live at ground level, you don’t even need helpers to carry, because the sofa comes directly into the living room with all the service. Even the prices are many times lower and especially with designer sofas you don’t save money if you buy them over the internet.
However, one must or should first, either with friends or by going to a furniture store, because one does not buy a sofa so often in life, of course, the good piece must fit to one and in the apartment, finally under the ass.
